The oldest lake trout on record was a 62 years old trout from Kaminuraik lake in the NWT. In 2009 an angler on the Manistee river caught a Brown larger than any other documented in history weighing 417 pounds. Their flesh is firm with an excellent flavor and may appear white pink orange or orange-red.
