With an estimated 2 million Sturgeon living in the Columbia River this has become one of the top Sturgeon fishing destinations in the world. We sturgeon fish on the Snake year around but there are times in the dead of the summer that we choose to give the fish a break.

The Snake River population in Idaho is found in the Snake and Salmon rivers. There once was a time when the Snake river was a free flowing river form source to sea. We often catch 5-10 sturgeon a day here with at least a few of them pushing the 7-9 foot mark.
You can expect to catch 100s of bass and multiple sturgeon in a day during prime months. This is often combined with catching the Mighty White Sturgeon. Fish for the mighty Sturgeon which reaches lengths in the Snake River of 10 feet or more and after an hour of reeling you start to wonder who has who.
Maximum of 6 Average Fish Size. White Sturgeon can be found throughout the Pacific Northwest from Alaska to California. The weather was a little unsettled but the fish were cooperative.
April thru end of July. This gives you a large window of opportunity to land the biggest fish you have likely ever seen on a rod. While your guide keeps an eye on the sturgeon rod you can pass the time by catching trout and bass.
