Canyon Lake Trout Fishing

Canyon lake trout fishing. Lake trout are one of the most popular fish among anglers in North America. This is the home stream of the Zane Grey Chapter of Trout Unlimited one of the biggest chapters in the country. Wildlife Department TPWD says the fish will be stocked at Guadalupe Park just below Canyon Dam through March.

First is the dam side which we prefer using in the spring and early summer and the inlet side which better in the fall. Many camps and resorts in this area offer river access to paying guests. Canyon Ferry Lake is an excellent lake for fishing for rainbow trout.

This is the same place that the trout are deposited into the river every year. This is a handicap accessible concrete fishing pier at the base of the dam near the power plant. Trout stockings usually occur twice a month through June making trout fishing in the desert a worthwhile endeavor.

This pier sets on the Guadalupe River where the water lets out of the dam. Box Canyon is a freshwater highland lake located in Kittitas County Washington. And 17 acres its home to a couple species of fish including cutthroat trout.

It is also the southernmost trout stream in the US. Free public fishing access is provided at the following locations. The section of the Guadalupe River we fly fish on is managed as a trophy trout fishery.

Trout will be stocked at Guadalupe Park Whitewater Camp 4th Crossing 3rd Crossing and Camp Huaco Springs.
